Because the value of the gems was altered between proto and final release, the fee the statue offers was changed accordingly as well. Nintendo logic wins out once again as we ask why the hell a statue would need money in the first place. |
Dewey sounds like a moron in both versions, but unlike the proto, where he seems to randomly spurt out words found in an English dictionary, his tip actually makes a bit of sense in the final version, albeit in a vague, irrelevant fashion. |
And for the record, yes, the scary graphic glitch that appears in the final version does also appear in the proto. If you have no idea what the hell I'm talking about (and admit it, you don't), check here for the low-down. I discovered it by pure accident about ten years ago, and wrote to Nintendo Power asking what the deal with it is. They never replied to me, the bastards. |
